“Who are you, is not a question for others to answer. What you think of you, you will become.”
Do you view yourself as a failure? As someone who does not know what they want for their future? Do you think, “others know what they want, but I do not? What is wrong with me?”. If so, you have taken the first step into an identity crisis.
It is easy to assume everyone else has it together and knows what they want. News flash, most question their futures. Most people do not know 100% what they want in the future. The real question is, is this an excuse not to make a decision, due to fear?
I have seen fear as a root for much of the problems in the clients I treat. Most do not know what they want in their future, thus, they question their identity and their future. Many enter into an addiction to mask this fear. If you do not know what you want to do, then look into things that interest you, and go do something. If your interests change in the future, reevaluate your situation. Even people who have a good idea as to what they want to do in the future make changes. This is a normal part of life.
