Therapeutic Word of the Day: Dark

“Without darkness, the light would hold no special meaning. Endure it, learn from it, and focus on positives.”

As it is the holiday season it is important to focus on what is important, our families and friends. It is easy to get side-tracked by the problems of the world. It is easy to see a dark and dangerous world and become defeated by it. However, dark times like now serve a purpose, as they can show what is truly important in our lives.

By seeing the darkness in the world, we can make changes to improve ourselves and decrease the darkness overall. We can put things in perspective and focus on people instead of things. While this word is dark at times, but noticing the darkness, it makes us appreciate the good things we do have.
